Why Do Fighters Cry?

There's something profound that occurs in the mind of a fighter. Many fight out of fear of survival, to validate their own delusion or to prove their self worth. Some fight for glory, riches and honor. And there are those who sacrifice themselves for something greater.
One thing is true amongst this cohort. They all enter the dominion that many could never dare imagine. Where our greatest ally and worst enemy are reflections of the same being. Where all secrets and insecurities are exposed. Where judgment of the highest order occurs with an unrelenting eye. It can get intense. Win or lose, fighting brings all to tears.
There's a sense of having everything to lose. And when brought to its absolute climax, it awakens the sense that we've reached the end. Those who encounter the limits of their being, either succumb to their pathology in the form of insanity or come to understand the truth of their being.
When it's clear that the battle is over and we've unclenched our fists, there's a sense of liberation. It becomes clear that we're connected to something divine. The fight of our lives is the fight that was destined to be.
