There seems to be three modes that can fill the human experience when it comes to perceived linear narrative that manifests itself through consciousness. Or in simple terms, how we feel and think about our lives in the context of a story.
We can get a sense of the direction our lives have gone through, where it is at this moment and where it's going, through the use of our values.
Our values function in a hierarchy assembled through orderly operations and judgment, which then allows for an assessment of comparison.
The comparison functions to measure whether the values we hold and the life we’d hope we had are in alignment with our own objective/subjective lives.
This comparison then indicates and makes it self evident through the manifestation of presently new emotion and thought, which we then experience and identify with.
These three modes of human experience would be labeled as Positive, Neutral and Negative; which can fluctuate and change on a vast field and range
