The Initial Process

I won’t lie to you. It's going to be ugly. In the early stages of any developmental process, we won’t be able to recognize ourselves as something worth maintaining. Motivated by pain, loss, fear, ego, desperation, and delusion; the form we inhabit won’t allow us to fully understand and utilize the extent of our human potential until we make certain break throughs. But it's a start.
When beginning the journey of developing ourselves in ways that connect us to a higher state of being, we might stumble and make a fool of ourselves. We might feel terrified when tossed into chaos and find ourselves engulfed in the cold touch of apathy. The torture of having what was once thought of as your identity and reality completely shattered, in order to rebuild one aligned with the divine, can be truly terrifying. But it's a start.
It can be overwhelming not knowing where the logical conclusions of our actions may lead us. Not being content with the position predisposed on us. Demanding too much of ourselves and feeling frustrated when our growth isn’t what was anticipated. All completely understandable ways of experiencing this process. But we must recognize that this state of being is not permanent. As long as we carry our burden forward and seek connection, then we can continue the fight towards something greater beyond ourselves. To do this is to recognize that this is just the start.
