Listening Skills

The other half of social skills that is largely neglected. Listening is an active and subtle skill. No one wants to listen yet everyone wants to be heard.


Be the outlet. Have open ears and attentive eyes. People just want to be recognized. Be someone who others can express themselves to.


Become the space where authenticity thrives. Allow for natural pauses or progression in the conversation.


Seek to understand. Reciprocate what you have understood or what you wish to further understand. Add value not opinions.


Be likeable by having others interests in mind.
