Being a Polymath and Engaging in Interdisciplinary Studies

Being proficient in social skills requires us to become well-versed in multiple different areas of expertise.

It requires us to understand how subjects can be expanded upon multidimensionally and have the capacity to be applied universally. In essence, to become a polymath.

A polymath (Greek: πολυμαθής, polymathēs, "having learned much"; Latin: homo universalis, "universal man") is an individual whose knowledge spans a substantial number of subjects, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems.

Being a polymath requires that we engage in interdisciplinary studies. Interdisciplinary studies involves the combination of two or more academic disciplines into one activity.

It draws knowledge from several other fields like sociology, anthropology, psychology, economics etc. It is about creating something by thinking across boundaries.
