It’s going to happen. Seeking to become a better version of yourself comes with challenges that are far beyond our ability to handle. That's the cost of wanting a life that is self actualized and full of meaning.
But failure shouldn’t be something we are afraid of. In reality, failure is the catalyst to becoming a complete human being and individual. It's what builds the foundation to our values and a vision to the world we choose to engage with. It gives us the emotional leverage and strength to overcome future events where we would have normally felt frightened or unmotivated. And it reminds us that this life is our only opportunity to become connected to something greater beyond ourselves.
Errors of action that occur when attempting to change the quality of our own lives can be one of the worst experiences. But by far the worst experience, beyond anything else, is living a life of regret. Regretting to take action. Understanding that failure is imminent and that it is universal to all systems, helps us better develop one of the most important skills in interpersonal communication. Learning to be compassionate.
